1 Conditions of use

1.1 All bookings are made subject to the general terms and conditions of your membership agreement in addition to the terms for online bookings as detailed below.
1.2 All of the terms and conditions are at the discretion of Bradford Council ClubActive and we reserve the right to amend any aspects of the online scheme as and when necessary.
1.3 Your online account is authorised and managed by Bradford Council ClubActive, which reserves the right to decline, issue or withdraw access to the online booking facility at anytime.
1.4 Any misuse or failure to abide by these terms and conditions may result in the withdrawal of your online account and you may be considered ineligible for future online applications.
1.5 Do not pass your membership or online account details relating to anyone else.
1.6 Use by anyone other than the membership holder is not permitted.

2 Online Bookings

2.1 Online bookings are available for:

  • customers with a valid membership card.
  • Bradford Leisure Card Holders.
  • Registered users.
  • Guests/visitors.

2.2 Activity and class online bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance. Although bookings are open 24 hours a day, bookings for the following week start at 00.01am each day.
2.3 To ensure everyone has a chance to use the facilities there are restrictions on the number of bookings each customer is permitted to make for each day.
2.4 Your online account is issued in your name and is not transferable and must not be used by anyone other than yourself. e.g. you may book 2 classes one after the other and but you cannot book 2 places in the same class at the same time. You can only book activities for yourself. Any account being used by someone other than the authorised person will result in Bradford Council cancelling your membership.
2.5 Bradford Council reserves the right to re-allocate any bookings, other courts or areas within the centre in order to optimise space utilisation.
2.6 Online bookings are confirmed by the issuing of a booking confirmation direct to your nominated email address.
2.7 All customers must report to reception on arrival. Please remember to bring your membership card to validate your booking and confirm your attendance. Please note that failure to do so may result you being recorded as a non-attender and this may affect your right to use the online booking facility in future.

3 Payments

3.1 The customer is responsible for the payment and any other charges related to the booking.

3.2 All online bookings that require payment must be paid for in full at the time of booking to confirm the booking.

4 Non-attendance/cancellations by the online account holder

4.1 You will be recorded as absent (failed to attend) if you do not report to reception on arrival before your activity

Fitness classes with zero charge
4.2 If you are unable to attend for the class booked, please contact us as soon as possible to cancel it so we can make it available for another customer. Online fitness class bookings can be cancelled online or direct at the centre with up to 2 hours' notice, thus allowing us to offer the place to someone else.

4.3 It is appreciated that sometimes people will be unable to cancel their places for genuine reasons, however if people regularly abuse the system to hold places and do not attend or are marked as failed to attend, the following penalty will be applied:

  • 3 non-attendances within a 4 weeks period - The ability to book online will be withdrawn for 4 weeks. You will still be able to attend classes, but advanced bookings will not be available, until the 4 week notice has passed, so there is no guarantee of a class place.
  • Frequent or excessive misuse may result in full or part suspension of your membership.

Classes and activities paid online
4.4 Payments made online will not be refunded. Where a minimum of 24 hours notice is given, transfer to another class/activity will be available, but this will be by direct contact at the centre and is not available online.

4.5 The cancellation rights contained in the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (amended 2005) do not apply to bookings activities.

5 Cancellation by the centre

5.1 Bradford Council will endeavour to ensure that activity areas and facilities are operational and available for use. However in circumstances where it is not possible to maintain services, Bradford Council reserves the right to amend the details of the activity and as such is not liable for any refund or discount.
